Lanfear appears as a vision in the dreamscape gathering of the Chosen, lounging in her chair and mocking Sammael's fears about capturing Rand.

Lanfear — aliases: the Forsaken, Great Mistress, Mierin

Lanfear reveals herself to Kadere, kills him by flaying him alive, and attacks Rand and his companions at the docks with the One Power. She battles Rand, attempting to shield him and break his mind, before Moiraine tackles her through the doorframe ter'angreal.
