Chapter 5 - Among the Wise Ones
Egwene / Egwene al'Vere — aliases: Aes Sedai (Aes Sedai), the girl (la fille)
Egwene se lave avec l'aide d'une gai'shain nommée Cowinde et est convoquée dans la tente de sueur, où elle écoute les Aes Sedai du Désert débattre du sort de Rand al'Thor et d'Aviendha. On lui confie la tâche de maintenir la vapeur pour le groupe, puis elle apprend sa punition pour avoir pris du retard : courir cinquante tours autour du camp avec Aviendha, tout en discutant des agissements de Rand et des coutumes Aiel.
Chapter 7 - A Departure

Egwene monte sa jument Mist et observe le camp qui quitte Rhuidean, réfléchissant à son rêvevoyage réussi et à ses inquiétudes concernant Aviendha et Isendre. Elle regarde Rand al'Thor manifester sa capacité à tisser en restaurant les fontaines de la ville, entend son murmure discret sur le temps perdu, et observe ses interactions avec Mat et Moiraine avant de rejoindre la marche.
Chapter 14 - Meetings

Egwene arrives in the dream with Melaine, reports that Rand has ordered Moiraine to stand outside until she cools down, and describes Rand's swelling head and arrogance to Nynaeve.
Chapter 15 - What Can Be Learned in Dreams

Egwene confronts Nynaeve in the dream, revealing Elaida's seizure of power and scolding Nynaeve for her lack of control. Later, she leaves the dream, observes Rand and Natael in their tent, and visits Moiraine to deliver the news, gaining Moiraine's trust by speaking to her as an equal.
Chapter 21 - The Gift of a Blade

Egwene arrives at the camp on her mare Mist, offers sympathy to Rand regarding the massacre at Taien, and discusses his reaction with Aviendha before departing.
Chapter 22 - Birdcalls by Night
Egwene
Egwene runs to the site of the Draghkar alongside the Wise Ones, noting Rand's condition and the lamp in Aviendha's tent. She scolds Rand for his treatment of Aviendha, brushes past him with disgust, and enters the tent to speak with Aviendha.
Chapter 23 - “The Fifth, I Give You”

Egwene observe la marche des Aiel depuis une crête, réfléchissant à la destruction de Sealan et à la transformation de Rand en un leader autoritaire. Elle rejoint Rand et Aviendha, tentant d'apaiser la détresse d'Aviendha face à ses devoirs, mais se voit réprimander par Sorilea pour avoir essayé d'interférer avec les coutumes Aiel. Elle apprend ensuite le nom du prétendant assigné à Aviendha, Feran, et exprime des doutes quant à la capacité de Rand à faire respecter ses lois sévères sans aliéner ses clans.
Chapter 24 - A Message Sent

Egwene wakes in Tel'aran'rhiod, adjusts her clothing to proper Aiel garb, and waits for her friends. She encounters Elayne and a vision of Birgitte, then faces reprimands from Amys and Bair before relaying news about the Shaido and the Seanchan to Elayne.
Chapter 25 - Dreams of Galad

Egwene floats in the darkness of the World of Dreams, observing the dreams of those around her before materializing in a novice quarters to meet Elayne. She questions Elayne about Birgitte and learns of the threats facing their friends, then shifts to the Amyrlin’s office to scan reports on the Tower’s failures. Startled by dream-projections of Galad, Siuan, and Leane, she flees to a dream of Emond’s Field, where she nearly falls under the spell of visions of her family before realizing the danger and escaping back to her body.
Chapter 41 - The Craft of Kin Tovere
Egwene
Egwene agrees to do what she can to help against the Shaido, looking tired but determined. She watches Rand climb the tower and stands near Moiraine.
Chapter 43 - This Place, This Day
Egwene — aliases: Egwene Sedai
Egwene stands with Aviendha and the Maidens to block Rand's path, insisting they channel with him to shorten the battle. She travels to the tower with him and channels lightning, accidentally tripping when he notices her involvement.
Chapter 44 - The Lesser Sadness

Egwene channels lightning alongside Aviendha to aid Rand, then is caught when the tower collapses. She bandages her own scalp, mounts Mist, and chides Rand for his poor mounting skills before departing with Moiraine and the Wise Ones.
Chapter 49 - To Boannda

Egwene appears in Tel’aran’rhiod, visiting Nynaeve and Elayne to relay news of Rand’s victory at Cairhien and the movements of the Shaido. She scolds them for their behavior and their failure to keep secrets, then vanishes.
Chapter 51 - News Comes to Cairhien

Egwene enters the palace with Moiraine and Aviendha, examining the letters and noting the handwriting of Alviarin. She listens to Moiraine's interrogation of Mat and later argues with Rand about the danger of his solo pursuit of Rahvin, specifically questioning if he means to go alone and noting the risk of guards. Moiraine suggests that if who is with Rahvin is Semirhage, Graendal, or Lanfear, the group might be overwhelmed. Egwene and Aviendha insist on accompanying Rand despite his objections, with Egwene later expressing concern to Aviendha about the potential presence of other Forsaken like Lanfear.
Chapter 53 - Fading Words

Egwene is rescued from the burning wagon by Aviendha and the Wise Ones, suffering from injuries but recovering enough to be told she cannot dreamwalk for some days.
