Prologue

Sevanna — aliases: the clan chief of the Shaido (el jefe del clan de los Shaido), Sevanna of the Jumai Shaido (Sevanna de las Jumai Shaido)

Sevanna leads her Wise Ones in using a gray ter'angreal cube to summon a wetlander named Caddar, maintaining control over the group despite their fear and dissent. She negotiates with Caddar for 'traveling boxes' and other aid, agreeing to meet him in ten days while suppressing her anger and eagerness to secure his promised resources for the Shaido.

Sevanna sits in her tent and presides over the condemnation of Galina Casban, declaring her da'tsang to break her spirit. She accepts an Oath Rod from Caddar to bind channelers and orders the rapid evacuation of her people using Traveling Boxes due to the threat of approaching enemy clans.
