Prologue

Sevanna — aliases: the clan chief of the Shaido (der Clan-Anführer der Shaido), Sevanna of the Jumai Shaido (Sevanna der Jumai-Shaido)

Sevanna befehligt die Shaido-Aiel und die Weisen Frauen während der Schlacht am Dumai's Wells und drängt sie, die Aes Sedai anzugreifen, um Desaine zu rächen. Sie führt ihre Weisen Frauen an die Flanken, ist jedoch Zeugin, wie die Aes Sedai einen undurchdringlichen Schutzdom um Rand al'Thor errichten. Sevanna leads her Wise Ones in using a gray ter'angreal cube to summon a wetlander named Caddar, maintaining control over the group despite their fear and dissent. She negotiates with Caddar for 'traveling boxes' and other aid, agreeing to meet him in ten days while suppressing her anger and eagerness to secure his promised resources for the Shaido.

Sevanna sits in her tent and presides over the condemnation of Galina Casban, declaring her da'tsang to break her spirit. She accepts an Oath Rod from Caddar to bind channelers and orders the rapid evacuation of her people using Traveling Boxes due to the threat of approaching enemy clans.
