Moiraine follows Egwene into the Heart of the Stone, observing the Tairen nobility with suspicion. She analyzes the political maneuvering of Alteima and Estanda, debates with Rand about the dangers of leaving Callandor in the Stone, and chases after Rand to demand his destination, realizing he intends to go to Rhuidean.
