Lan accompanies Rand into the bootmaker's building and engages Toram Riatin in a sword fight which he wins. After Fain flees, Lan alerts Rand to the approaching Guards and nearly falls from the roof, requiring Rand's help to survive.
Chapter 34 - The Hummingbird’s Secret

Lan is mentioned by Nynaeve as being arrested and held in the cells alongside Rand. His condition is a primary motivation for Nynaeve's distress and Cadsuane's actions.
Chapter 35 - With the Choedan Kal
Lan
Lan scouts ahead with other Warders and later rides up the slope to find Nynaeve and Rand unconscious. He gently raises Nynaeve's head to check on her.
