Merilille watches the Sea Folk and Kin with annoyance and attempts to intervene regarding Ispan Shefar's custody. She obeys Elayne's command to focus on the Bowl of the Winds and steps between Sareitha and the Windfinders to protect the artifact.
Chapter 2 - Unweaving

Merilille watches the proceedings with annoyance and shrieks when Aviendha begins to unweave the gateway. She strides toward Aviendha with her gelding, demanding a promise that Aviendha will never attempt such a dangerous act again and suggesting Aviendha be entered in the novice book.
Chapter 3 - A Pleasant Ride

Merilille insinuates that the Kin may be Darkfriends or wilders and that they lie about their knowledge, prompting Elayne to shout and threaten her with a penance. She remains pale and shocked after the confrontation.
Chapter 4 - A Quiet Place

Merilille informs Nynaeve that the Windfinders are impatient and may need Healing. She later listens as Renaile complains about the treatment of the Windfinders by the Kin.
Chapter 5 - The Breaking Storm

Merilille guards the Bowl and observes the Sea Folk with a faltering mask of serenity. She casts fire at the Seanchan raken and murmurs in amazement about the Shadowspawn's appearance.
Chapter 6 - Threads

Merilille takes custody of the turtle Talaan after Alise intervenes in the dispute between the Windfinders and the Aes Sedai regarding the Bowl of the Winds.
Chapter 20 - Into Andor

Merilille is forced to accompany Renaile and demonstrate weaves for the Sea Folk. She shares quarters with Pol and the apprentice Windfinders, losing her status and dignity in the eyes of the Kin, who begin to question the unique nature of Aes Sedai.
