Chapter 1 - To Keep the Bargain

Lan — aliases: Warder, Aan'allein

Lan walks beside Nynaeve, reaffirming his devotion and duty to protect her. He scouts ahead through the gateway and later forms a square guard around the exit with other Warders to protect the departing group.

Chapter 2 - Unweaving

Lan — aliases: Warder

Lan stands by his black warhorse, Mandarb, dividing his gaze between the treeline, the gateway, and Nynaeve. He later helps Nynaeve mount her mare, offering her a hand for her foot and boosting her into the saddle.

Chapter 3 - A Pleasant Ride

Lan

Lan scouts ahead and to the sides of the column, riding with Nynaeve. He retrieves Reanne upon their arrival at the farm as instructed by Nynaeve.

Chapter 4 - A Quiet Place

Lan

Lan rides Mandarb to help contain the panicked Kinswomen, galloping after them to prevent them from fleeing into the olive groves.

Chapter 6 - Threads

Lan

Lan stands by Nynaeve as she prepares to leave, rides through the gateway to scout, and later is seen returning to find the others. He is not directly involved in the fighting but is present in the aftermath.

Chapter 28 - Crimsonthorn

Lan — aliases: Lord Lan

Lan guards the murder scene, prevents entry, and bars Vandene from entering initially. He restrains Nynaeve from returning to the mourning scene.
