She later confronts Alanna Mosvani about Rand al'Thor's location and secrets, then meets with Sorilea to establish a water oath to teach the Dragon Reborn laughter and tears, receiving knowledge of Traveling in return.

Cadsuane initially sends Daigian to decline the meeting, claiming she is busy with needlepoint. When Rand confronts her, she remains calm and dismissive of his titles, listing rules for their relationship that double as threats. She reveals that Callandor is flawed and magnifies the taint of saidin, explaining that the only safe way to use it is linked with two women, one guiding the flows, leaving Rand terrified.
