Chapter 8 - Over the Border

Chapter 10 - Figs and Mice

Thom arrives at the shop just as Luci is re-drugging Elayne, threatening her with a knife to rescue the women. He helps Nynaeve regain her footing, drives a coach to transport them out of Mardecin, and poses as a noble lady's coachman to deceive the Children of the Light.

Chapter 13 - A Small Room in Sienda

Thom drives the coach and obeys Nynaeve's orders to speed up, then later helps carry the heavy chests up the narrow stairs to the inn room. He and Juilin discuss gathering intelligence in the common room, though they are ultimately sent away by Nynaeve to sleep in the stables.

Thom arrives in the room after being summoned by Elayne, confirming that a Whitecloak matching Galad's description is watching the inn. He recalls that Galad looked like the boy he once knew and explains the political ambitions of Pedron Niall regarding Altara, before accepting Nynaeve's gold to help arrange their escape via the menagerie.

Chapter 17 - Heading West

Thom drives the wagon to retrieve Elayne and Nynaeve, using a cover story about fetching berries. He amuses Luca with a complex juggling routine and later flashes knives to deter the showman from making unwanted advances toward Elayne.

Thom travels on the Riverserpent, helping to intimidate Neres into yielding his cargo and joking with the group. He attempts to amuse Marigan’s sons with juggling on the shore near Salidar.

Chapter 50 - To Teach, and Learn

Thom remains in the common room, feigning reluctance to leave but ultimately accepting Bryne's offer to play stones and stay for a few days. He exchanges a guarded conversation with Bryne and attempts to dissuade Uno from leaving with the Whitecloak, though his true intentions remain ambiguous.
