Fishes off the riverbank while complaining about the cold and seeking company, then walks alongside Mat and Egeanin toward Ebou Dar. He notices a dark-skinned soldier with blue eyes among marching troops, remarking that he has seen someone like him before.

Chapter 2 - Two Captains

He carries his fishing gear while secretly keeping knives hidden beneath his coat. He helps spread word that the show is preparing to leave and moves quickly to assist Juilin without drawing attention.

Chapter 28 - A Cluster of Rosebuds

Noal Charin

Shadows Mat and plays games with Olver, accidentally reciting a Dragon Prophecy verse that unsettles Mat. Suggests eliminating Tuon but is firmly refused by Mat.
