Sam Yerger organizes Kate's departure to New York, arranging for her to see Etienne Suë and stay with the Princess. He is present at the house during the initial panic. Later, Kate and Binx decide to travel to Chicago. Upon arrival, Binx receives a call from his aunt Emily in New Orleans, who informs him that the police found Kate's car at the terminal.
