Captain Agni Neres, a tall bony man, commands his ship at the dock. He initially complains about the cost of taking on refugees but accepts the payment provided by Nynaeve and Galad, setting sail.

Chapter 49 - To Boannda

Neres — aliases: Captain Neres, the captain

Captain Neres, the owner of the Riverserpent, is a smuggler who dislikes women and is annoyed by his passengers. He allows Nynaeve to seize his cargo to make room for people, observes the wind created by Nynaeve and Elayne to speed up the ship, and reluctantly agrees to take the group to Salidar after arriving in Boannda.
