Chapter 6 - Threads Woven of Shadow

Sammael enters Graendal's palace, observing her displays of 'pets' and her elaborate illusions. He questions her about the whereabouts of other Forsaken and expresses his disdain for Rand al'Thor, though he is unsettled by Graendal's hints that the Great Lord might favor the Dragon. He demands a link between themselves to counter Rand, which she deflects, and leaves a warning for Demandred before departing to Illian, killing one of Graendal's servants in the process.

Chapter 23 - To Understand a Message

Sammael receives Graendal in his Illian residence, displaying a stasis box of Age of Legends artifacts. He reveals to Graendal that he has secured a truce with Rand al'Thor and expects to be the only Chosen remaining when the Great Lord returns, stating that as Nae'blis he will choose who stands below him. He orders Graendal to find the locations of the other Forsaken and departs her mind, satisfied that he has outmaneuvered her.
