Moridin, a young man with striking blue eyes and access to the True Power, waits for Moghedien in a vacuole. He reveals he holds her cour'souvra, asserts his dominance over her, and demands her obedience, which she reluctantly gives.

Moridin appears to Moghedien on the roof, interrupting her balefire attack. His presence causes her to flinch and miss her target, sinking the boat. He is described as having 'come' and being 'there', exerting his will over her.
