Gaul joins the group with a scowl, complaining to Perrin about the Maidens Chiad and Bain. He misunderstands Aiel courtship signals and expresses anger that Chiad will not marry him, prompting Perrin to correct him on human marriage customs.

Chapter 27 - To Be Alone

Gaul stands near the Red Wolfhead banner, sullenly glaring at Bain and Chiad. Perrin asks Grady about his wife, and Gaul listens to Grady's explanation of the Warder-like bond between Asha'man and their wives.
