A Maid of the Spear who kneels naked among the captives, her face bloody and hair matted. She reminds the captors that Faile does not follow ji'e'toh and cannot be made gai'shain by them.

Faile is captured by Aiel and kneels naked among the captives. Her captor, Efalin, discusses the taking of gai'shain with another Aielman, while Bain and Chiad, also naked captives, assert that Faile does not follow ji'e'toh.
