Bair repreende Egwene pela sua demora e discute com as outras Sábias a resistência dos Aiel às mudanças. Ela revela a punição de Aviendha por ter mentido e zomba das perspectivas românticas de Melaine, antes de ordenar que tanto Egwene quanto Aviendha corram cinquenta voltas ao redor do acampamento como punição por sua teimosia.

Chapter 22 - Birdcalls by Night

Bair se junta a Amys e Melaine na cena da destruição do Draghkar. Ela ri estranhamente ao aceitar uma aposta de Amys sobre os sentimentos de Dorindha, depois segue Melaine para procurar perturbações, deixando Egwene lidar com Rand.

Chapter 23 - “The Fifth, I Give You”

Bair walks with the Wise Ones near Rand, scurrying back to the group after Sorilea rebukes Melaine for thinking of a husband rather than attending to Amys.

Chapter 24 - A Message Sent

Bair arrives with Amys, scowling and delivering a harsh lecture to both Egwene and Elayne about their foolishness and lack of discipline in entering the dream world alone.

Chapter 53 - Fading Words

Bair

Bair pushes past Rand with the other Wise Ones to assist in examining the injured Egwene.
