Havien rides impatiently, disapproving of Rand’s plan to enter the city on foot rather than with a larger force. He expresses his dislike for the plan to Dobraine, addressing the Dragon Reborn with respect to Dobraine, while remaining indifferent to the city's internal politics.

Havien departs with Rand to find Berelain, leaving the Grand Hall immediately after Rand's exit.
