Alanna rides beside Cadsuane, appearing intent and sullen, occasionally quickening her pace before being checked by Cadsuane. She is inspected by the guard, who asks her name, and she rides onto the bridge toward the city gates.

Chapter 24 - Among the Counsels

Alanna initially attempts to ride toward the gates but is ordered by Cadsuane to dismount and remain with the group. She climbs down with a sulky expression while her Warder Ihvon watches anxiously.

Alanna arrives via Travel to confront Rand, displaying a mix of fury and joy at their renewed bond. She challenges Rand about his secret bonds to other women but accepts his command to return to Cairhien to help stabilize his rule, asking for the reasons behind his presence in Far Madding before leaving.
