Merise directs the men leading packhorses with sharp gestures. She rides with Cadsuane's group and later ensures the Warders are disciplined and silences protests from the rear.

Chapter 24 - Among the Counsels

Merise

Merise stays with the group in the stableyard, tasked by Cadsuane to keep everyone together and ready. She accepts Alanna's reins and prepares to restrain the sulky sister if necessary while Cadsuane handles the situation inside.
