Bair rimprovera Egwene per il suo ritardo e discute con le altre Saggie della capacità degli Aiel di sopportare il cambiamento. Rivela la punizione inflitta ad Aviendha per aver mentito e si prende gioco delle prospettive romantiche di Melaine, prima di ordinare ad entrambe, Egwene e Aviendha, di fare cinquanta giri intorno all'accampamento come punizione per la loro testardaggine.
Chapter 22 - Birdcalls by Night

Bair si unisce ad Amys e Melaine sulla scena della distruzione del Draghkar. Ride sguaiatamente mentre accetta una scommessa da Amys riguardo ai sentimenti di Dorindha, poi segue Melaine via per cercare delle perturbazioni, lasciando ad Egwene il compito di occuparsi di Rand.

Bair walks with the Wise Ones near Rand, scurrying back to the group after Sorilea rebukes Melaine for thinking of a husband rather than attending to Amys.

Bair arrives with Amys, scowling and delivering a harsh lecture to both Egwene and Elayne about their foolishness and lack of discipline in entering the dream world alone.

Bair pushes past Rand with the other Wise Ones to assist in examining the injured Egwene.
