Prologue

Sevanna — aliases: the clan chief of the Shaido, Sevanna of the Jumai Shaido

Sevanna commands the Shaido Aiel and Wise Ones during the battle at Dumai's Wells, urging them to attack the Aes Sedai to avenge Desaine. She leads her Wise Ones to the flanks, only to witness the Aes Sedai raise an impenetrable dome of protection around Rand al'Thor. Realizing the battle is lost and witnessing the Shaido flee in panic, she discards her spear and joins the retreat, plotting to capture Rand al'Thor later.
