Chapter 38 - An Old Acquaintance

Uno, a Shienaran warrior with a painted eye, guides Nynaeve away from the crowd to discuss their mutual connections to Rand and Masema. He describes their reliance on Masema for survival and expresses dismay at the Whitecloak violence before stopping at the city gates, refusing to take Nynaeve into the riot while reluctantly following her lead.

Chapter 39 - Encounters in Samara

Uno guides Nynaeve into Samara and joins her in Masema's presence, where he explains the Prophet's dangerous zealotry and Queen Alliandre's political maneuvering to keep the peace in Ghealdan, before warning Nynaeve of the Whitecloak tailing them.

Chapter 40 - The Wheel Weaves

Uno stands with Ragan to protect Nynaeve from Galad, then agrees to follow her orders after she asserts her authority. He delivers her message to find a boat and joins her train of fifteen Shienarans, accepting her command to ask for 'Nana' at the menagerie wagons.

Chapter 47 - The Price of a Ship

Uno appears to report that the ship was seized by Whitecloaks and that Prophet Masema's people are fighting them. He reluctantly agrees to help Nynaeve's group reach the ship after being persuaded by Elayne and Birgitte, though he warns of the dangers at the docks.

Chapter 48 - Leavetakings

Uno

Uno leads the Shienaran followers in the fight, sustaining a facial gash and an injured arm. He stands with Thom and Juilin watching the captain, and later helps secure the passage for the refugees.

Chapter 49 - To Boannda

Uno

Uno travels on the ship with his Shienaran followers. Later, he clears a path for Nynaeve on the shore as they prepare to march toward Salidar.

Chapter 50 - To Teach, and Learn

Uno stands with his men in the common room, initially offering to help Nynaeve and Elayne escape to Rand. He is recruited by Gareth Bryne to help with cavalry training and agrees to stay for a rest before making a decision, while remaining loyal to Nynaeve's general command.
