Chapter 19 - Matters of Toh

Aviendha appears among the Wise Ones in the palace corridor and follows Rand to Caemlyn, where she recounts prophetic dreams of a rain bowl and a Gray Man assassin. She confronts Rand about her obligations to Elayne and ji'e'toh, then leaves him in his rooms to face a stern, silent challenge from the Maiden Liah in the hallway.

Aviendha accompanies Rand to Mat's tent, insisting on joining the mission to speak with Elayne. She warns Mat that Aiel women do not submit easily to wetlander commands, then sits sharpening her knife during Mat's briefing.

Aviendha sits with five Aes Sedai, casting hunted looks before being rescued by Elayne. She sharpens a branch with her knife to calm her emotions, then demands Elayne punish her for lying with Rand to satisfy her ji'e'toh. Upon learning Elayne also loves Rand and is willing to share him, Aviendha sits down to listen, though she insists on getting to know Min first.

Chapter 44 - The Color of Trust

Aviendha wears a gray riding dress and looks dubiously at her dun mare. She rides alongside the group, dogging the heels of the women like a Warder.

Chapter 47 - The Wandering Woman

Aviendha — aliases: Hunter, near-sister

Aviendha walks her horse, calls Mat dishonorable for his treatment of Elayne, and rides into Ebou Dar before scrambling down awkwardly upon entering the square.

Chapter 48 - Leaning on the Knife

Aviendha — aliases: Aiel

Aviendha sits on the floor during the initial meeting and insists on joining the scouting parties, citing her cadin'sor skill. She declines the invitation to see the Queen with Elayne, choosing instead to explore the city with Birgitte, and later departs to do so.
