Prologue

Sevanna — aliases: the clan chief of the Shaido (le chef du clan des Shaido), Sevanna of the Jumai Shaido (Sevanna des Jumai Shaido)

Sevanna commande les Aiel Shaido et les Sages-Femmes lors de la bataille au puits de Dumai, les exhortant à attaquer les Aes Sedai pour venger Desaine. Elle conduit ses Sages-Femmes sur les flancs, mais assiste impuissante à la levée par les Aes Sedai d'un dôme de protection impénétrable autour de Rand al'Thor. Réalisant que la bataille est perdue et voyant les Shaido prendre la fuite dans la panique, elle abandonne sa lance et rejoint la retraite, complotant pour capturer Rand al'Thor plus tard.

Sevanna leads her Wise Ones in using a gray ter'angreal cube to summon a wetlander named Caddar, maintaining control over the group despite their fear and dissent. She negotiates with Caddar for 'traveling boxes' and other aid, agreeing to meet him in ten days while suppressing her anger and eagerness to secure his promised resources for the Shaido.

Sevanna sits in her tent and presides over the condemnation of Galina Casban, declaring her da'tsang to break her spirit. She accepts an Oath Rod from Caddar to bind channelers and orders the rapid evacuation of her people using Traveling Boxes due to the threat of approaching enemy clans.
