Eben rides close to Daigian, wearing an Asha'man's black coat. Kumira studies him sharply, and he later rides with the group toward the city.

Eben leads a link circle with Daigian, Hopwil, and Sarene. He detects Moghedien approaching and attacks her, but is killed by her in the ensuing struggle, dying in Daigian's arms.
