Sheriam, the Red Sitter, greets the newcomers with sternness and suspicion. She questions Siuan and Leane, recognizes Min, and orders Min to sit with Logain. After confirming the identities of the stillers with her sisters, she herds Siuan and Leane away for private questioning.

Chapter 27 - The Practice of Diffidence

Sheriam presides over the meeting, initially treating Siuan and Leane with stern suspicion before accepting their value. She agrees to Leane's proposal for a new election and suggests they remain in Salidar until they can depose Elaida, while also attempting to manage Myrelle's desire to join the expedition.
