Chapter 8 - Over the Border

Juilin rides close to the wagon handing Nynaeve a water bottle, then snatches off his red Taraboner hat when the Whitecloaks approach. He observes the argument between the women and expresses his physical discomfort with the saddle to the group.

Juilin sits against the wagon wheel pretending to sleep, later grumbles while fetching water from the stream, and exchanges glances with Thom regarding Elayne's behavior.

Chapter 10 - Figs and Mice

Juilin follows the women into town and finds them captured, pushing Mistress Macura into the room with his knife. He helps Elayne walk, threatens Macura to extract information about the Black Ajah, and the women depart in the coach.

Chapter 13 - A Small Room in Sienda

Juilin walks with Thom to carry the iron-bound chests into the cramped inn room. He expresses interest in exploring the village to gather information from the locals but is left with the driver to sleep in the stables, a condition set by the innkeeper due to overcrowding.

Juilin rides Skulker and assists in the escape, then nervously attempts to walk the high rope under Luca’s scrutiny. He endures Elayne guiding him down the rope, leaving him visibly shaken by the experience.

Chapter 33 - A Question of Crimson

Juilin Sandar crosses the river and returns to warn Nynaeve and Elayne that he has spotted Galad Damodred among Whitecloaks in Samara, causing him to flee her glare.

Chapter 34 - A Silver Arrow

Juilin eats dinner with the group, whistling tunelessly and avoiding engagement with Valan Luca's attention toward Elayne. He looks disappointed when the food is gone.

Chapter 35 - Ripped Away

Juilin follows Thom into the room, shocked to see Birgitte physically present. He watches as Thom lays her on the bed, then exits with Thom after Elayne orders them to leave.

Chapter 36 - A New Name

Juilin confirms Elayne's decision for them to stay rather than flee. He assists Thom in covering the archery wager and expresses reluctance to be sent away, vowing to follow Elayne regardless of her orders.

Chapter 37 - Performances in Samara

Juilin performs a highrope stunt while pretending to be drunk, dropping his hat and mug to deceive the audience before successfully retrieving them and receiving thunderous applause. He holds the ladder for Elayne and vanishes into the crowd afterward.

Chapter 49 - To Boannda

Juilin

Juilin travels on the Riverserpent and remains quiet alongside Thom and Uno. He is later seen on the shore near Salidar, observing the group and the surroundings with a grimace.
