Jalani listens to Enaila’s teasing of the Aielmen and attempts to guess the meaning of Rand’s joke about the rooster and the pond, concluding that the wetlander humor is strange.

Jalani argues with Rand in the hallway, insisting that the Maidens' duty is not just the dance of spears, before submitting to his command and returning to the throne room.

Jalani

Jalani assists in gathering the Maidens, expresses sullenness during the wait, and helps search for Liah before the group retreats from the city.

Chapter 28 - Letters

Jalani stands with Rand and the other Maidens, accepting the shame of failing to spot the Gray Man and agreeing to keep Taim's presence secret alongside Nandera.
