Chapter 1 - An Empty Road

Tam / Tam al'Thor — aliases: Master al'Thor

Tam leads the journey to Emond's Field, ignoring the bad weather and wildlife dangers to keep his word. He maintains a stoic, practical demeanor while delivering their goods.

Chapter 3 - The Peddler

Tam / Tam al'Thor

Tam accompanies Bran and the Council, standing firm against Cenn Buie's provocations. He quietly advises Bran in the inn, then moves to lead Fain inside, gruffly defending Ewin Finngar from Cenn's aggression.

Chapter 4 - The Gleeman

Tam — aliases: father

Tam explains to Rand why the Council controlled the narrative about the false Dragon to prevent panic. He reveals that other youths have also seen the black-cloaked rider, validating Rand's fears, before they depart for the farm.

Chapter 5 - Winternight

Tam

Tam inspects the farmyard for tracks, locks the house doors, and retrieves a sword he purchased long ago from a hidden chest. He defends the farmhouse against a horde of Trollocs, shouting orders for Rand to hide, and later leads the remaining creatures away from Rand to protect him, sustaining a wound in the process.

Chapter 6 - The Westwood

Tam — aliases: father

Tam lies on the litter, suffering from a severe fever and delirium that causes him to recall the War of the Hundred Years and the fate of the Tree of Life. He occasionally speaks clearly enough for Rand to hear, but remains largely unresponsive to Rand's attempts to care for him.

Chapter 7 - Out of the Woods

Tam / Tam al'Thor — aliases: My father

Tam lies unconscious on the litter, suffering from a severe fever and wounds inflicted by Trollocs. He remains unresponsive throughout Rand's journey and is transferred to a bed in the inn, where he continues to breathe hoarsely without waking.

Chapter 8 - A Place of Safety

Tam

Tam lies unconscious in bed, breathing easier as Moiraine heals him. He remains asleep throughout the chapter, unaware of the plans for his son's departure, and is left in the care of Mistress al'Vere.

Chapter 9 - Tellings of the Wheel

Tam

Tam rests in bed, receiving care from Mistress al'Vere, and engages in a serious conversation with Rand about the dangers of the outside world and the deceptive nature of Aes Sedai and Warders before agreeing reluctantly to Rand's departure.
